CAROL ANN’S CAROUSEL IS A WHIRL THROUGH CINCINNATI LIFE AND HISTORY The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Carol Ann’s Carousel, it will take place on Saturday morning, May 16, 2015 beginning 11 am. The carousel is located north of Mehring Way, at the Pichler Fountains. “This carousel is a gift to the Cincinnati Parks Foundation honoring the life and philanthropy of Carol Ann Haile,” said Tim Maloney, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./US Bank Foundation. “The sparkle, whimsy and pure fun this carousel will provide is a direct reflection of Carol’s sparking personality. This amazing hand-carved Cincinnatiinspired carousel will be a part of the riverfront for generations to come, and this ribbon cutting celebration is taking place on the 16th—Carol Ann Haile’s birthday. So this is a fitting celebration of her life and an honor to her memory.” Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the carousel will open, and free rides will be offered from 1-7 pm. Tickets will be handed out on a first-come, firstserved basis. “As much as we would love to have everyone ride free on the first day, there are only so many slots that can be available,” according to Ruthann Spears, Manager of Carol Ann’s Carousel. “While ticketed visitors will enjoy a free ride on the carousel, there will be lots of fun activities for everyone to enjoy throughout the park during the entire afternoon.” -MOREMEDIA PARTNER RIBBON-CUTTING!
